Belts

Gates is the brand of belts that we ship with all of our MP62 based supercharger kits. We've tried other brands of belts and none have performed as well or reliably as the Gates brand. Several of our customers have reported the same results when then tried other brands.

There have been several versions of our MP62 supercharger kits for the Mazda Miata. In addition, the there have been several different nose & crank pulley combinations that customers have requested as well. As such, there are a lot of different belts for the various setups. We're maintaining a belt sizing chart to help customers determine which belt they may need for their particular setup.

This belt sizing chart is a work in progress, and you can help! On the chart you'll note there is a "Tested?" column. If marked "Yes!" then it signifies that we (or one of our customers) have verified the belt size works with that particular pulley. If it's marked "no" then the belt shown has been listed based on:

1. a) an older bill of material, or
2. b) older forum posts where member's have stated what belt they're using, or
3. c) an educated guess based upon other known pulley, belt, and idler pulley setups.
   

If you can verify a pulley & belt sizing combination then we welcome your input so we can update the chart and help others in the future!
