Shipping PolicyWe
take pride in our packaging and shipping of your order. You can trust
that your order will be processed as quickly as we can and
safely
delivered. We can ship products anywhere in the United States using the
shipping method options enabled on the website during the checkout
process. Our webstore
uses modules for the various shippers that we use, such as UPS, United
States Postal Service, and FedEx. These shipping companies, and the
various levels of service they offer, may or may not be active on the
site at any given time.
Shipping
Service Times & LevelsMost orders received
by
2:00 PM EST will be able to ship same day. We will of course
make
every effort to get orders recevied after that time out ASAP.
If
you desire a shipping provider
or level of service that is not listed on the site then we
will be more than happy to try and accomodate you.
You can
select the level of service that most closely matches what you wish.
Then, in the comments section, describe what changes you
would
like (ie, "Send it Next Day Air Saver, not Next Day Air" ).
We will attempt to satisfy your request and will then adjust
your sales order information on the website. We will re-send
the order summary to you with the changes and we will process your
order. If we are unable to meet your
request(s) then we will attempt to notify you and
the order is held until we hear back from you.
When
you
place an item in your shopping cart and provide a postal code in the
checkout process, the system will estimate the cost for the
various levels of shipping service from each provider. These
rates are based in part on the zip code you supply.
If
you've registered for an account on our website then it uses the Ship
To information in your profile.
Shipment Insurance,
Values, Confirmations & TrackingAll shipments from
Stage One Tuning will be shipped insured for their value. The
shipping charges show on your invoice include the costs shipping,
insurance, packaging & handling fees.
We
understand some of our international customers face high shipping costs
combined with taxes or other fees to import items. However,
we will NOT falsify the cost of items on international
invoices for those shipments, nor will we mark them as "Gift" when
they're not. Please don't ask us to do otherwise.
High
value shipments may be sent with "Signature Required" status, or
possibly "Adult Signature Required." This is to protect both
you and ourselves from loss of property. If you're unable to
be there when the shipment is schedule to be delivered, then you can
contact the carrier and provide them with the tracking number(s).
You would then be able to request that they mark the shipment
as "Hold For Pickup" when it's convenient for you to do so.
We
update your on-line order details with tracking numbers shortly after
they are processed. Most carrier's systems will not show the
package in their system until later that evening.
Shipping
RatesNote, the automatically generated shipping quotes
provided during the checkout process are calculated estimates.
Some items may require "oversize" handling from the carrier
or dimmensional weighting. We reserve the right to require a
shipping cost adjustment for your order if the automatically generated
quote is grossly underestimated. You will be notified and
will be given the option to continue with the order, or cancel the
order. Likewise, grossly overestimated shipping quotes will
be manually adjusted down in your favor where applicable. We
will then proceed with processing your order, update your
online order details and re-send it to you with the lowered
shipping cost reflected.
Damaged
ShipmentsAll items are shipped insured! Please
take the time to inspect your shipment carefully before accepting it
from the carrier. If the package has holes, tears, or has
been crushed, etcetera, then it may have been possible for
items to be missing or damaged as a result. Notify us
immediately if your item has sustained damage during shipment
as we will need to file a claim with the carrier. Be sure to
KEEP all original packaging, including the packing materials and all
box(es). The carrier may require them to be
inspected before they will cover a claim! Furthermore, do not
ship the package back to us without being instructed to do so.
The carrier may issue their own call tag to pick up the item
and either return to us, or pay for the cost of replacement.
Drop
ShipmentsSome items on our site are not stocked locally.
There are times when an item on your order will be drop
shipped directly to you in an effort to reduce your waiting time.
