Automatic Belt Tensioner Upgrade

The automatic tensioner idler pulley setup (6-rib) is the best idler pulley setup ever included with our MP62 supercharger kits.     The 6-rib provides more friction on the pulley, allowing us to use less belt tension, and extend supercharger bearing life. The auto-tensioner assembly not only increases belt life, but makes changing belts a breeze.  For those MP62 kit owners with the static 6-rib idler pulley setup (aluminum cross drilled pulley or the plastic unit), this upgrade can be installed in minutes. 

This assembly includes:

• Idler Pulley (IP) Mount Plate (machined aluminum & black anodized)
• Automatic Belt Tensioner
• Two IP stand-offs (stainless steel). These replace your existing stand-off's on the nose of your Head Bracket Assembly (HBA).
• A third stainless steel stand-off with threaded stud.  Depending upon your current setup, this will either replace the existing longer one that is in the nose of your blower, or will add this stand-off to your blower if it doesn't already have one.
  
• A replacement nose mount plate for your MP62 supercharger.
• The required zinc plated hardware to mount the listed items.

This upgrade is compatible with the '94-'97 and '99-'05 BR Performance MP62 supercharger kits with the 6-rib setup.  If you have an vintage BR Performance MP62 supercharger kit with the 4-rib idler pulley setup, then there is a bit more one would need to upgrade to an auto tensioner 6-rib setup.  Depending upon the specs of those kits, those customers would need the auto tension setup, along with a 6-rib nose pulley, 6-rib crank pulley, crank spacer, power steering tension hardware bag, different head bracket assembly blocks, and possibly more. *NOTE:  Many are able to use their current 6-rib belt.  However, due to the differences in adjustment ranges between the static IP setup and the automatic belt tensioner setup, one may need to get a slightly longer belt.  Usually "adding about 5," or moving up to the next belt size works.  [e.g. You're current belt doesn't work and you currently use a K060420 Gates belt, then the K060425 would likely work with your new setup.
